What Is a Digital Badge?
A digital badge is more than an image. Each badge NAU issues includes:
- What you achieved 鈥� description of knowledge, skills, or competencies earned
- How you earned it 鈥� the courses, tasks, or assessments completed
- Who issued it 鈥� 黑料天堂, accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (hlcommission.org)
Badges can be stored in the Open Badge Passport, a free platform that makes it possible to manage and share achievements across LinkedIn, r茅sum茅s, email signatures, or digital portfolios.
The Types of Badges at NAU
- Stand-Alone Badges: Independent recognitions such as Orientation Completion or Library Research.
